An organizational meeting of the project “Development of a flexible, innovative and practical framework for Work-based Learning in higher education of Armenia and Russia” (FlexWBL) of the European Commission ERASMUS + took place at National University of Architecture and Construction (Yerevan, Armenia) on 16th – 20th of December, 2019.
DSTU was represented by the chief of International education department Irina Maevskaya, the head of Academic affairs and advanced degrees department Alexander Shilov and the leading specialist in educational and methodological work of International Education and Tuning Center Evelina Bednyakova. The meeting was attended by representatives of the universities of the project consortium from Europe, Armenia and Russia: Liepaja university (Latvia), Klaipeda university (Lithuania), National university of architecture and construction of Armenia, Gavar state university (Armenia), Brusov state university (Armenia), Tver state university, Perm state university, Roshydromet ATI.
The aim of the project is to introduce work based learning (WBL) into the higher education systems of Russia and Armenia to improve the compliance of graduates’ competencies with the labor market requirements and trends of the European Higher Education Area.
The meeting participants discussed the work based learning concept, the goal and objectives of FlexWBL project, the work plan of activities for 2019-2022, as well as financing and management issues. During the project curricula based on the WBL methodology will be developed and virtual platform for online support of work based learning also will be launched.
