Established in 1935, Brusov State University is a leading higher education institution in Armenia specialized in teaching a wide range of foreign languages and programs in social sciences. The University offers undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA), and postgraduate (PhD) study programs in various linguistic, philological, intercultural and educational studies for about 3000 students. The university is well known for its significant success in different disciplines: Linguistics, Pedagogy, Translation Studies, Journalism, Service, European Studies, Political Science, Languages and IT, Education Management and Intercultural Communication, etc.
All university students are offered to study at least three foreign languages: Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Chinese are taught as major; 15 other languages are taught as minor. Internationalization is a strategic priority for the University. BSU collaborates with more than 60 universities all over the world. The University brings together foreign lecturers from about 10 countries of the world and students from 15 different countries. BSU is actively involved in EU mobility and inter-university cooperation programs (ERASMUS+, Jean Monnet Module, European Voluntary Service, etc.). BSU is the only state university in the Caucasus and East Region that implements European Voluntary Service projects, thus combining formal and non-formal education, and giving the students and graduates the possibility to get new skills and experience, be competitive in the labor market.
